The Beaverton Library's South Lawn is an excellent location for performing Shakespeare! It is located in a central part of Beaverton that is easily accessible by car, bus or train.

FOR THE 2PM SUNDAY MATINEE: We recommend that you bring a chair or blanket and a small canopy of some kind to protect you from the sun as there is no shade on the lawn. It can get a little warm in the mid-day sun. Bring sunscreen and a hat at minimum!

Information about shows at Beaverton Public Library:

All ages! Bring the whole family, but out of respect for our actors & other audience members, please leave your pets at home. Service animals are allowed.

  • We encourage picnics, blankets, and chairs on the lawn. Note that there is NO SHADE on the lawn, so be sure to bring a canopy of some kind to help shelter you from the sun, and wear sunscreen!

  • Concessions available before and during the performance include bottled water, iced coffee, sweets and nuts

  • We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes prior to curtain to ensure your space on the lawn

  • Complimentary handicapped seats available for handicapped companions by reservation or first come first serve. The library lawn has no stairs, but it is a lawn, so we encourage to exercise caution on the uneven terrain that is the lawn

  • Parking available on the street during library hours, or in the east or west lots on Friday nights.  Public transportation available via TriMet

  • Please be respectful of the lawn and do not leave  your litter for others to clean up
