“Shakespeare as it was back in the Bard’s day: bawdy, irreverent, sublimely entertaining.” -- The Miami Herald

THE COMPLETE WORKS OF WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE (abridged) was born when three inspired, charismatic comics, having honed their pass-the-hat act at Renaissance fairs, premiered their preposterous masterwork at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 1987 and quickly became a worldwide phenomenon, earning the title of London's longest-running comedy after a decade at the Criterion Theatre.

THE COMPLETE WORKS OF WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE (ABRIDGED) is one of the world's most frequently produced plays and has been translated into several dozen languages. Featured are all 37 of Shakespeare's plays, meant to be performed in 97 minutes, by three actors. Fast paced, witty, and physical, it's full of laughter for Shakespeare lovers and haters alike. There is never a dull moment in this hilarious production!

Helvetia Vineyards and Winery is located in the foothills of the Tualatin Mountains, the northernmost grape growing area in the Willamette Valley. Only minutes away from both Nike Headquarters and the Intel Hillsboro campus, and 25 minutes from Downtown Portland.

The vineyards are located just above the Tualatin Valley floor between 450’ and 650’ elevation. Cascade and Helvetia soil types predominate. The Cascade soils consist of sedimentary soils deposited in the Valley by the Missoula Floods about 15,000 years ago. The Helvetia soil types consist of weathered soils deposited by the volcanic eruptions from the Columbia River Flood Basalts 1.5 million years ago.

What are the COVID precautions I should expect?

COVID-19 restrictions are relaxed, therefore social distancing will not be enforced. Mask are only encouraged for those unvaccinated.

When should I show up?

If you do not have a reservation, we recommend arriving as early as possible. Those with reservations should arrive 15 minutes prior to showtime to stake out your space or reservation, grab a glass of wine, and take in the atmosphere.

Is there an actual stage?

NO. The play will be performed just in front of a large seating area that is under a tent. We encourage early arrivals for best seating locations.

If it is a free show, why are you selling tickets?

We're not selling tickets per se as much as we are reserving you the best possible seat, and you are paying your $12 donation forward. Plus you can reserve wine and food ahead of time to enhance your experience.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

This event is ALL AGES, however we do recommend ages 13 and up for some of the more bawdy material. Alcohol purchases are for those 21 and over, of course. Be sure to have your ID handy for wine purchases.

What are my transportation/parking options?

A car is your only option as there is no public transportation options available to Helvetia.

What can I bring into the event?

You may bring ALL of your family and friends! But please do not bring any outside alcohol, food, fireworks, firearms, or pets.

What's the refund policy for pre-purchased packages?

There are no refunds on reservation purchases at any time. BUT, we are happy to accommodate moving your reservation from one night to the other, depending on the availability of the performance you wish to see.

Do I have to bring my printed reservation to the event?

No, we will have your reservation on file. Simply check in with your name at our concierge desk and we'll get you squared away!
