ABOUT THE SHOW:
“Shakespeare as it was back in the Bard’s day: bawdy, irreverent, sublimely entertaining.” -- The Miami Herald
THE COMPLETE WORKS OF WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE (abridged) was born when three inspired, charismatic comics, having honed their pass-the-hat act at Renaissance fairs, premiered their preposterous masterwork at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 1987 and quickly became a worldwide phenomenon, earning the title of London's longest-running comedy after a decade at the Criterion Theatre. THE COMPLETE WORKS OF WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE (ABRIDGED) is one of the world's most frequently produced plays and has been translated into several dozen languages. Featured are all 37 of Shakespeare's plays, meant to be performed in 97 minutes, by three actors. Fast paced, witty, and physical, it's full of laughter for Shakespeare lovers and haters alike. There is never a dull moment in this hilarious production

What are the COVID precautions I should expect?
As of today, there is some social distancing measures that will be in place for the performance. Capacity is also limited to 50%. Should state regulations change, as we hope they will, seating will be spaced in a more traditional manner, and face coverings will not be required. Until that time, we will adhere the guidelines provided to us by the City of Beaverton.
When should I show up?
If you do not have a reservation and COVID-19 restrictions are in effect for social distancing, we recommend arriving as early as possible. Those with reservations should arrive 15 minutes prior to showtime to stake out your space or reservation, grab a beverage from our Grey's Inn pub, and take in the atmosphere of the festival.
Is there an actual stage?
NO. The play will be performed under the giant poplar tree in the center of the library lawn.
If it is a free show, why are you selling tickets?
All of our productions offer different options depending on the kind of experience you wish to have. If you're a family of five and plan to park on the lawn, you should bring a blanket and/or low back chairs, and a picnic. If you are a couple looking to make it a date night, reserving two seats with an add-on VIP package or the Grog & Mug Package might be more your thing. It just depends on your mood and your pocketbook!
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
This event is ALL AGES, however we do recommend ages 13 and up for some of the more bawdy material. Alcohol purchases are for those 21 and over, of course. Be sure to have your ID handy if you are craving wine, beer or hard cider.
What are my transportation/parking options?
The library is accessible by Tri-Met bus or by taking the Max and walking a few blocks south. Visit trimet.org to get door to door results. If you are driving, we suggest parking along one of the side streets on Saturday or Sunday. You may park in the library lot after 6pm on Friday.
What can I bring into the event?
You may bring blankets, a picnic, snacks, and of course, ALL of your family and friends! But please do not bring any outside alcohol, fireworks, firearms, or pets.
What's the refund policy for pre-purchased packages?
There are no refunds on reservation purchases at any time. BUT, we are happy to accommodate moving your reservation from one night to the other, depending on the availability of the performance you wish to see.
Do I have to bring my printed reservation to the event?
No, we will have your reservation on file. Simply check in with your name at our concierge desk and we'll get you squared away!
