Our lighting designers (or LDs) create the overall darkness or warmth for our productions. They create “light plots” that dictate when and where specific lighting is needed in our shows, the color of the lights, and determine areas where special lighting may be required. The LDs create light cues for lighting changes, and collaborate with lighting technicians and electricians. Our LDs have excellent artistic, creative, and technical skills, and we want to compensate them the best we can for their valuable and unique skill set.
