
Audience Development Assistant (P/T) (Bilingual Preferred)
This part-time (20 hours/week) position will help support the theater and its programs, as well as help shape its opportunities for community members to engage in live theater experiences.
Key responsibilities:
Clerical Support:
Provide administrative assistance to the Managing Director and Development Coordinator, including scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and maintaining documentation
Prepare and organize materials for presentations and meetings as needed
Assist marketing coordinator from time to time to ensure social media posts and emails are timely
Community Engagement:
Actively engage with the community to promote awareness of the organization’s programs and initiatives.
Build relationships with local organizations, businesses, and community groups to enhance audience development efforts.
Collect and analyze feedback from community members to inform outreach strategies and program initiatives within ETP.
Answer audience questions and inquiries
Volunteer Management:
Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to support audience development initiatives and events.
Coordinate volunteer schedules and ensure effective communication and support for volunteers.
Arrange yearly volunteer celebration event for some amazing people who provide us with their time
Audience Development:
Collaborate with the Development Coordinator to implement strategies aimed at increasing audience participation and engagement with our Spanish speaking neighbors.
Assist in creating marketing materials and campaigns to promote events and initiatives
Assist Development Coordinator with special events for top donors and sponsors
Collaboration and Teamwork:
Work closely with team members to support the overall mission and vision of the organization.
Attend regular staff meetings and contribute ideas for audience engagement and development.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, business, or a related field preferred.
1-2 years of experience in administrative support, community engagement, or outreach roles.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with diverse audiences.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, G-suite, and basic understanding of social media platforms.
Bilingual in Spanish preferred
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Compensation:
Up to $22/hour depending on experience
