Immerse yourself at a large, tastefully-appointed Sneden's Landing townhouse, the Deputy Mayor of New York has just shot himself. Though it's only a flesh wound, Charlie Brock's self-inflicted injury sets off a series of events causing four couples to try and cover-up and hide the potential damage to his reputation, and naturally, hilarity ensues!

STORY: Charlie and Myra plan to celebrate their tenth wedding anniversary at their beautiful home in the company of eight dear friends. But when their tuxedo-and-designer-gown-clad guests arrive, they find the house empty, piles of uncooked food in the kitchen -- but Charlie and Myra nowhere in sight. The hungry, angry and totally befuddled guests drown in speculation as to the reason for what is happening (or not happening). But as, in the face of all the odd circumstances, they try to preserve at least a bit of their cool and dignity, they actually become entangled in increasingly bizarre situations which they cannot comprehend.

Rumors is a riotous farce by beloved Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Neil Simon that comedically explores the idea that you can get away with anything if you are a good enough liar and the damage that rumors can inflict on their victims. The play has been called “the first no-holds-barred farce of his career.” Come laugh with us!
